Meet Karla Aylen, the Face Behind Queen Anne Smiles
Dr. Karla Aylen is an experienced dentist with deep expertise. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College and graduated in 1995 from the University of Texas Dental Branch at the Houston Medical Center
Dr. Aylen was a successful practice owner until she sold her practice in 2021. After the sale, she continued to practice part-time at the same office, while also teaching dentistry at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and managing a retirement dental clinic at Kline Galland. Additionally, Dr. Aylen has become highly involved in her profession and currently serves as the President of the Seattle King County Dental Foundation Board. Driven by a strong desire to return to practice ownership, Dr. Aylen recently acquired the practice of Dr. Darrel Jensen.
She specializes in a comprehensive range of family, geriatric patients, and cosmetic dentistry services, including root canals, extractions (including wisdom teeth), implant placement and restoration, Invisalign, Botox, dentures, partials, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges, and veneers, sleep appliances, nightguards, partials, dentures, and retainers. This diverse skill set minimizes the need for multiple appointments, simplifies patient care, and lowers costs.
Karla’s expertise, experience, and commitment to her patients have earned her recognition on Seattle Met’s Best Dentists list every year since 2012, including 2025. She is also a member of several dental associations, including the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle-King County Dental Society.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Aylen cherishes time spent with her family, which includes a son and daughter. She enjoys tennis, skiing, playing the piano, traveling and embracing the great outdoors. A passionate tennis player, she proudly competed at the national level in 2021 and 2022, securing 2nd and 3rd place finishes.
